It will produce good results as long as you pay attention and use the brad points. This is the quickest and easiest doweling jig I've used. I use this for all my quick and dirty work. It's hard to beat the price too. I strongly recomend using brad point bits though. Using regular twist bits it has a tendancy to wonder.
